It is very simple to withdraw your bought cryptocurrencies from a CEX to your choice of hot or cold wallet.

Using Coinstash as our example, here is our step by step instructions to withdrawing from a CEX (Coinstash) to a hot or cold wallet:

Step 1: Firstly, on the main page of Coinstash after logging in, hit ‘withdraw’ in the top right:

Step 2: You will have a window pop up, hit ‘Crypto’ (as that’s what you want to withdraw), then ‘next’:

Step 3: On the next page, it will have your list of cryptocurrencies in Coinstash, select the one you wish to withdraw, for the sake of the example, I am selecting ‘USDC’:

Step 4: Add a new address to withdraw USDC to – whether that be your hot wallet (MetaMask or Rabby) or cold wallet (Trezor or Ledger)

Step 5: Enter in the address of hot or cold wallet you wish to have your cryptocurrency withdrawn to – please ensure you check whether the cryptocurrency you are withdrawing is supported by the hardware, or software wallet you are withdrawing to:

This is done by copying and pasting the address for the given chain

For instance, if I wanted to withdraw an Ethereum chain coin (such as the meme coin Pepe), I would copy across my Ethereum (ERC-20) address that is found at the top of my MetaMask browser extension:

That is the address you would paste into Step 5.

Step 6: Enter the amount you wish to withdraw and press ‘send’

And you’re done!

It’s the same process for any wallet, hot or cold.

All you need to do is locate the coin of choice, the withdraw chain/address for that wallet, and pate that into the withdraw section of Coinstash.

You can always double check with support to ensure you are on the right path!
