Coinbase, the prominent American cryptocurrency exchange, has unveiled comprehensive Apple Pay functionality across its entire Onramp application ecosystem.
From 2nd December, individuals accessing applications powered by Coinbase Onramp technology will discover seamless Apple Pay authentication and transaction capabilities.
Coinbase’s official blog announcement emphasises that developers need not implement any additional measures to enable this feature.
This development brings Apple Pay capabilities to America’s leading cryptocurrency exchange platform. Although Apple Pay already functions with several crypto platforms including Binance, BitPay, and MetaMask, social media commentary suggests exceptional enthusiasm from crypto enthusiasts regarding this latest integration.
Despite its straightforward implementation, this development could prove transformative. Apple’s iOS platform commands one of the most substantial user bases in the mobile application marketplace.
The streamlined nature of this integration could potentially accelerate cryptocurrency adoption by simplifying digital asset transactions through Apple Pay’s familiar interface, making Web3, cryptocurrency, and blockchain technology more accessible to newcomers.
The integration offers additional benefits, including zero-fee USD Coin transactions for cryptocurrency deposits and withdrawals, compatibility with over 60 traditional currencies, regulatory-compliant access to more than 100 cryptocurrencies, and support across in excess of 20 blockchain networks.
