Microeconomics is the branch of economics that is concerned with single factors and the effects of individual decisions, such as those made by businesses or individuals. It places focus on how individual businesses and consumers make decisions, extending to government agencies, households, organisations or even a single person. It utilises human behaviour to explain how these entities react to changes in price and why they demand certain quantities of a good at a specific price level.
